About David

Although I spent my entire youth and adolescence as a “fat kid,” I was always infatuated with certain cultural icons that were fit and muscular—Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone, He-Man, Hulk Hogan, etc. I always had a burning desire to be fit and healthy…some day, but didn’t really think it was possible.

After college I was in the worst shape of my life, and decided it was either time to change or resign myself to being overweight and unhappy for the rest of my life.

I spent a year just reading everything I could get my hands on regarding exercise, nutrition, anatomy and physiology. After my crash course education, I began my bodybuilding journey in September 2003.

I saw rapid results in changing my physique due to intense dedication, coupled with a logical analysis of what it took to alter body composition.

Friends and family began asking for help in their own quests. This led me to begin studying for my personal training certification. I started working as a personal trainer in October 2004. Since then I have been a leading trainer in both the Chicago and Baltimore areas for several years, with a very high client success rate.

I hold a National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) certification, as well as specialized certifications from NASM (Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES) and Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES)). My specialties include weight loss, building muscle and toning, strength gains, nutrition analysis, life coaching and motivation.

I have participated in three bodybuilding competitions, with intentions of competing in several more in 2010. In addition to helping people realized their fitness goals, bodybuilding and fitness have become my passion and life’s love.
